Noman
W. Shaikh

Noman W. Shaikh is a filmmaker, writer, and producer based in Mississauga, Ontario. Driven by a lifelong obsession with the power of cinema, he completed his debut short film Ardent Suitor in 2025 — a psychological thriller that went on to earn recognition at multiple international film festivals.

From a young age, Noman was drawn to stories that lived in the uncomfortable spaces between people — the silence, the tension, the things left unsaid. That instinct shapes every frame he shoots.

His all-time favourite film is Scarface (1983). He has spoken often about how Brian De Palma's masterpiece left a permanent mark on him — the bold, operatic cinematography, the relentless momentum of the story, and the way it captured the seduction and destruction of the American Dream with unflinching honesty. It is a film he returns to again and again.

Noman continues to develop new projects rooted in character, tension, and the cinematic language he has spent years studying and refining.
